APPROPRIATE CASSP REFERRALS
Children with special needs, not solely mental health, and:
- to coordinate multiple agencies working with a child
- to access appropriate services, especially if you are having difficulty
- to explore various options in preparation for a court hearing
- to plan transitions within established time frames (example: child in shelter)
- to coordinate between multiple programs/agencies if there are multiple children in a family
- to identify and access funding for services
INAPPROPRIATE CASSP REFERRALS
- if you are "dead-set" on accessing only a particular program or service
- no previous contact has been made with any programs
- emergency services (takes about two weeks to set up a meeting)
This is designed to be a guide for referral sources in determining if a case is appropriate for CASSP involvement.
If you are still unsure after reviewing, call your CASSP Coordinator to discuss your case at (717)
337-9981 (Hanover/Adams) or (717) 771-9903 (York) today.

REMEMBER: Your CASSP Coordinator will respond to your requests as soon as possible, but please understand that
a meeting may not occur immediately. Come to the meeting with an open mind. We will use the meeting to problem
solve, develop a service plan, and delegate case management duties.
